ECS Group Order

Postby lew » Feb 11th, 2014, 3:34 pm

Hey Guys,

I'm about to order some things from ECS and thought I'd throw it up here to see if people want things so we can save on the shipping.

Let me know the part # and I will throw it on my order and we can see what the shipping costs will be.

I may have a set of 10mm spacers. I'd have to check this weekend.

Also, check out Concept1. Canadian, so no duties.

How is ECS to deal with? I like their idea of wrapping all duties and fees into one.

Anyone use the vivid website?

My experience with ECS is fairly good but don't use UPS for shipping because they will ALWAYS charge brokerage fees! And the more expensive your order, the more your brokerage fees are. Personally, I'd rather elect FedEx as the shipping choice even though it's more expensive upfront, because then there's no surprises when your order arrives. There's nothing worse than being all excited when you see the delivery truck only to be let down by COD charges!

Use the Canasaver UPS shipping and pay the duty up front and then don't have to worry about it.

Frank at eurosporttuning.com can provide ECS stuff at better prices than what you'll end up with on ECS' website. He's in Ontario, and he's an ECS distributor. You can put in any ECS part number on their site and it'll give you their price. But if you contact him with a list he's usually pretty quick to give you his best price. I did that this winter.

I've been thinking about getting a few things from ECS, but it won't be until I get the car out and make my decision. Eurosport doesn't have any of the things I'm looking to order.

And Frank and EuroSportTuning are a Dub Show sponsor. Be sure to check with him before going through ECS. A few companies up here bring in ECS stuff for cheaper than through the site.
