I'm looking at a 2004 on nlclassifieds. Seems to be in good shape. Gotta call after work. Might make it into a wolfsburg rep...

Here's the link FYI:

I wouldnt dream of it. Maybe come in at 3k, can only go up from there. Plus he WANTS SOLD so can't be too picky on price. Do you know much about the car?

There's another on classifieds. Used to belong to Langor I believe. Not sure who owns it now and/or what shape it's in.

Why not just replace your gearbox? The money you will spend to swap everything over will far exceed the cost of a gearbox and install imo.

Hahaha ya that's an issue. I just think it would be less hassle to get a newer one that runs fine and good body, then I'm in no rush to swap parts over.

Hi guys and gals, found this site recently and today decided to register. I have a 73 standard bug, first restored it nearly twenty years ago and it was black with a pink flame. I stripped her down again a couple of years ago and had it painted. It's now blue ( Subaru Rally Blue). I live in Placentia area and have been to a few Dub Runs but not in recent years due to work, etc. I'll post pics later when I figure out how to do it. Bear with me I'm an old fart.

My name is justin, I'm 22 and I just picked up my first VW today acctually. I've been interested about VW's for a while now and I've recently come across a deal I couldn't turn down, I have a 2001 passat (b5.5) GLX V6 4-motion. picked it up for close to nothing at my work. Planning on driving it for the winter. Then come next summer going to give it a good tune up and maybe some shoes. Wanted an MKIII but i'll settle for the passat. I guess we gotta start somewhere!

been a while boys, can't believe i haven't logged in since 2010! i'm diggin the new look of the site, though i probably isn't new anymore! for those who don't remember me or noobs i'm jay, still living in onterrible, still rebuilding my right hand drive corrado and still have plans to move back home...sometime..looking forward to coming home this fall for a visit and to try and take in some of the legs of targa.
unfortunately i won't be driving the corrado home this year, she's all stripped apart getting the full treatment, but i will be driving something just as cool, the wifes 97 cabrio, vr6 swapped, cat cams, cold air intake and straight pipe exhaust, oh and votex roof racks :D. also gonna be bringing down one of my mainland buddies and his wife, they've never been out east so i'll have to play tour guide, he'll be driving his 93 passat syncro wagon, so if you see either of us bootin' around town in september, wave us down

Acquired a new A3 TDI this past weekend.... man what a nice machine.

Thanks to Dan, Brian, Eugene, Mike, Blair and BIll Matthews .......... they all contributed to make it happen, a great team indeed!

Goes well with the G6O.
