Remember me? 82 cabby

Postby Jamal » Jul 4th, 2016, 4:27 pm

So, I've been on mk1 hiatus for the past two years up here in Calgary, partially because I tried a mkv Gli for a bit then I caught the e30 bug big time. After all that, still can't beat a mk1 so I'm back to my roots.

My summer daily driver is this nice little ripper.

-Bored and stroked 2.1 high compression aba
-Shaved big valve jh head with 272 solid lifter cam, titanium retainers and HD valve springs
-Twin weber 45's on a port matched intake
-4-1 header straight to a borla
-Adjustable timing gear and g60 valve cover (leaky gasket)
-Msd 6al ignition with 8980 timing computer
-Poly mounts everywhere
-Short throw shifter, weighted shift rod, performance clutch and lightened flywheel
-Wilwood front brake kit with 11" rotors and a rear disc conversion
-KW variant coil overs
-Ultra racing 15x7.5s
Etc

Yadda Yadda Yadda you get the idea. No one really cares about all the interior crap anyways.

Now for some pics

I don't really have many plans for it as its a blast just the way it is. However I'll probably drop it a little more to get the stance better. It's nice having concept1 in town so I can just rip to the city and pick up parts hassle free.

Hey Jamal  Nice ride buddy. Glad to see you are still kicking  Most of the VOGN activity happens now over on Facetube but I think you gave all that up a while ago. Keep posting here but it gets a little quiet in here from time to time.

We are still here and not going anywhere. This site is our only means of communication with Brian Aylward and his collection lol

Looks good Jamal, I am still picking away at the Rabbit, but just picked up McCarthy's old Rocco to play with for the summer.

Sounds great and runs better. Idle jets are a bit off but that's nothing.

Just throwing it out here but if anyone wants it, a rust free mk1 built I'll drive it home for 5gs plus gas
