Has the usual major reverse rake. First step was to get the rear up a little:

Better but got to get the front down a little:

Brought the front down a touch and now it sits perfectly. Raised the rear with an extra pad on the spring, lowered the front by cutting a coil, no more ugly reverse rake.

Sold the stock wheels to buy something else (some fake wheels).
And a few other's from the shoot. Can't wait to do an updated one this summer.

Got the mid muffler removed. Nice little increase in sound at higher RPMs, especially in 1st, 2nd. But still nice and quiet for everyday and highway driving.

Image

She wanted a subtle pop of red. Nothing to stand out, just a little extra. Keeping it clean. She loves it.

Quick little clean up on the rear, leaving the TSI, has another pop of red, so looks good. But the Jetta was too busy:

ESM 002 18 x 8.5.
Decent looking at a decent price.
She is very happy with them and they look great on the car.

Throw in some Amber DRL's. Really sets off the front of the car.

We had both cars in a car show this past weekend and she saw a few more things she wants, but maybe not this season.

Gotta keep it clean:

Little behind, but another update. Picked up some black vinyl and had a go at wrapping the roof. It was our first time trying to wrap, so it was a pain and had some issues. Its not perfect but it looks pretty good.

The edges were all cleaned up after this was taken:

One pic from the fall after applying some yellow film to the fogs:

Winter mode:

Image

Had a strut mount blow up pretty good, looks like the spring shifted and busted it up, replaced it and good to go:

Image

Sold the ESM's and picked up some Rotiform BLQ's for the Jetta, color change to come:

Image

Test fit on mine:

Image

Only plans for next season are to powder the new wheels, maybe trade for smaller tires, and powder a bike to match her car.

When you cut the front springs did it effect the ride? I have the sports and was thinking it would be safer to just get super sports for the front? Did you have to take it all apart again to do the cutting? Such a pain with the front end

Yes I disassembled the fronts again, cut one coil and reassembled. We are still on stock struts, which is fine for sports, and not so bad for super sports either, but with the cut spring it is under-dampened. Going to upgrade the front struts at some point. Also the spring doesnt sit properly, so some care is required when jacking it up to make sure it seats properly when lowering. Pretty sure that is what happened to the mount, the spring shifted and put a lot of stress on one side. But it was a very cheap way to get rid of that terrible reverse rake, her car has a great stance now with that and the extra perch in the rear.
I wouldn't recommend cutting springs of course, but it does its job for us.

Small update, in March of 2016 we started to prep the wheels for powder:

Image

And in July we finally got em finished. Been a busy year so car projects were put on the back burner:

Image

She loves the new set up, will be keeping it for next season as she didnt have much time with it this year.
